MAA CHANDI DEVI

हिन्दू मान्यता के अनुसार , जब शुम्भ और निशुम्भ नामक रक्षाशो ने राजा इन्द्र तथा सभी देवताओ को स्वर्ग से बाहर कर दिया था तब देवी पार्वती की कोशिकाओं से माँ चंडी देवी उत्तपन हुई , माता ने पहले चंड मुंड का संघार किया फिर शुम्भ निशुम्भ का  संघार किया,

 भक्त यहाँ रोपवे द्वारा तथा पैदल मार्ग से भी जाते है, ऐसा माना जाता है की आदि शंकराचार्य द्वारा आठवीं शताब्दी ईस्वी के आसपास देवी  की मूर्ति यहाँ पर  स्थापित की गयी .माँ चंडी की कृपा हम सब पर बनी रहे , जय माता की

According to Hindu mythology, the dominion over the kingdom Lord indra reigned was taken over by 2 demon kings named Shumbh and Nishumbh. These demons had begun to throw away gods from heaven. Finally, from the cells of goddess parvati was created a deity - Chandika Devi. Since the deity was terribly lovely, demon king Shumbh needed to marry her however was refused. The deity 1st killed Chand Munda, the demon's army chief then were slain the demon kings Shumbh and Nishumbh.
