Haridwar means that dwar of hari or entry to Lord Hindu deity,some individuals says hardwar means that dwar of har(shiv) or entry to lord Shiv/Bholebaba, is a Heavenly City set at the bottom of Shivalik ranges of high himalaya yet as on the flow path of revered watercourse Ganga and a district of Uttarakhand State in india. it's wide believed that by taking a dip during this holy watercourse, one is cleared of all his past sins. Lakhs of devotees from everywhere india visit Haridwar each year to take a dip within the holy watercourse Ganga to clear all his past sins.
